My client swore their logo was just black and white until I showed them the separation proofs

I had a client at a diner in Portland last spring who insisted their simple two-color logo was fine in grayscale, but when I pulled out the separation proofs the black looked like a muddy greenish brown. Have any of you dealt with someone who refuses to believe their digital colors won't print the same?

My buddy Jim had a client in Boise who swore their red looked orange on screen until he actually held up the Pantone book.

Oh man, @barnes.kai that's a classic. I've been there before, nothing worse than that sinking feeling when the color you're staring at just doesn't match up. Glad Jim had the book handy to settle it.
