Finally understood why my prints kept coming out purple
A prepress guy at the local print shop told me I was using pure blue in RGB for my client's logo. Said it was combining cyan and magenta in CMYK making muddy purple. I switched to a CMYK-safe blue swatch and the next batch of business cards actually matched the screen.

Learned that one the hard way too, that purple trap gets everyone.

Oh man, that purple one got me so bad I still cringe thinking about it. I was so sure I had it figured out, you know, thought I was being smart and taking a shortcut. Walked right into it, and then spent the next hour backtracking and trying to undo the mess I made (which only made it worse, obviously). My buddy was laughing at me the whole time, which honestly, I deserved. It's like the game knows exactly when you're feeling overconfident and sets that trap just for you.
