I spent $60 on a color calibration tool and my prints still look like garbage can green

Used to think calibration tools were a total scam honestly. Thought you could just eyeball it and be fine. But reading this and seeing how simple things like brightness can throw everything off, I get it now. It makes sense that your screen needs to match what the printer actually puts down. Still a pain when you drop that kind of money and get bad results right off the bat though. Hopefully a few tweaks like Felix mentioned will sort it out.

Man that’s frustrating. Had the same issue with my first Spyder. Turned out my monitor brightness was way too high for printing. Dropped it to 120 cd/m2 and recalibrated, then my prints actually matched the screen. Also check your paper profile in the software. Using the wrong one can mess everything up big time. Might be a simple setting you’re overlooking.
