Soft proofing finally clicked after a $900 poster run came out muddy
I was in the studio in Austin at 2am finishing a gig poster, pure RGB neon vibes on my monitor. Sent it to print without soft proofing like I always do. Picked it up next day and the purples looked like brown sludge. The shop owner just shrugged and said 'screen lies, paper remembers.' That made me actually learn the soft proof feature in Photoshop, took 20 minutes to set up. Now I check every file against the paper profile before I send it. Has anyone else had a print shop teach them more than any tutorial did?

Makes my $200 mistake look like pocket change.
