Thought my printer was broken for 3 weeks, it was one checkbox in export
I was printing a batch of flyers for my cousin's bakery in Bakersfield and every single one came out muddy and dull. I re-calibrated my monitor twice, bought new ink, and even drove to a print shop in Fresno to compare their test sheets against mine. Turned out the file was exported with the color profile turned off, so my design program was handing the printer RGB data and it was guessing at everything. One checkbox in the export window, three weeks of my life. Has anyone else chased a color problem all the way to a setting you didn't even know existed?
