Compared flood coolant versus mist coolant for aluminum work last week

Flood coolant left my machine looking like a crime scene and the chips just sat there, but mist coolant carried everything out clean and I only used about a fifth of the fluid, so has anyone else made the switch or am I missing something?

Flood coolant is a total mess on aluminum, makes everything look like a silver explosion went off in there. Mist coolant changed my whole setup too, chips flow right out and the floor stays dry, way less cleanup. People swore by flood forever but honestly once you try mist on aluminum you don't go back.

@mark_fisher48 you're totally right about the cleanup factor, but one small thing - mist coolant can still make a mess if you're running high pressure through a tiny nozzle on thin aluminum, gotta watch the atomization or it'll just float everywhere instead of hitting the cut zone.
