Found out our shop's coolant waste costs more than my monthly truck payment
I was going over the disposal invoices from the last quarter with our plant manager. The bill for hauling away used coolant and oil was over $1,800 for three months. That's more than I pay for my F-150. I found it in the general expense report, buried under 'environmental services'. It makes me wonder if we could cut that down by switching to a different coolant or a better filtration setup. Has anyone else seen numbers like this and found a way to trim the cost?

Wait, over six hundred bucks a month just to get rid of the old coolant? That's wild. I know disposal isn't free, but that number feels huge. It's like you're paying a second rent just for the stuff you can't use anymore. No wonder you're looking at different coolants or a filter, that's a serious leak in the budget.

Ever notice how everything is a subscription now? You don't own stuff, you just pay forever to use it or get rid of it. It's the same game with different names.
