Spent a whole shift chasing a 0.003 offset, felt like a genius when I found it
Last Tuesday I was fighting chatter on a part and kept tweaking feeds instead of checking the tool holder. Turned out the set screw was half a turn loose, took me 7 hours to figure it out. Anyone else had a machine run fine for months then throw a curveball out of nowhere?
