TIL I ran 10,000 feet of aluminum through my machine last month

I was going through my end-of-month reports and saw I hit 10,000 feet of material run through my Haas. That's almost 2 miles of parts for this one job. I started tracking it back in January just to see how much we actually produce, and it's wild to see it add up like that. This was for a set of window frames for a new building downtown, just a steady run with no crashes or tool changes. Anyone else keep a running tally of their footage or parts count just out of curiosity?

Start tracking stuff like that and you start noticing patterns everywhere, not just in the shop. It's like when you count how many times you walk to the fridge or how many miles you drive in a week, the numbers just keep growing. Funny how we hardly think about the little steps until someone points out they add up to two miles of window frames.

Hell yeah man I ran 7,000 feet of stainless last month on just one part number and it felt awesome.
