A TA at my bootcamp in Austin circled my whole function and wrote one line that fixed how I name stuff
Last Tuesday I turned in a little Python script for class and the TA sent it back with the entire 20 line function circled plus a note that said "I can't tell what any of this does without reading all of it." At first I was annoyed, but then I renamed stuff like x and temp1 to things like user_score and max_attempts, and suddenly I could debug my own code in half the time. So what's the deal, do you all name variables the long way from the start or just clean it up later?
