The "browser just silently picked one and the whole grid went sideways" part hits way too close to home, been there with a product page last month. Ngl I just keep my area names short and scan the template string by eye now, but a linter would be nice if anyone's got one.

Mine did that too around day 9 and I almost threw the whole thing out. What saved it for me was feeding it twice a day instead of once and moving it somewhere a bit cooler. The acetone smell comes from the yeast getting stressed and making alcohol, so if you dilute it more often the smell fades in a few days. Stick with it, mine came out of it around day 14 and now it rises like a champ. Just keep dumping and feeding, it knows what it's doing even when it smells like a salon.
