Spent $89 on a color palette generator subscription, then realized my $2.50 thrift store paint chips from the ReStore in Dayton did the exact same thing
Six months ago I signed up for one of those monthly palette apps because I thought it would fix my bland branding work. I paid $89 for the year and picked a scheme for a bakery logo using their "warm sunrise" preset. The baker told me it made her shop look like a gas station slushie ad. Last weekend I found a ziplock bag of old paint chips at the ReStore in Dayton for $2.50, laid them out on my kitchen table, and built a palette in ten minutes that she actually loved. Has anyone else ditched the subscription tools and gone back to physical swatches, or am I just mad about wasting the money?
