Guy at the bus stop taught me more about loops than my entire CS class
Last Tuesday I'm waiting for the 42 bus in Portland, practicing this while loop in Python on my laptop. This older guy peeks over and says 'you're stuck because you're mutating the list while you're iterating it.' He then explained it with a sandwich metaphor that somehow made perfect sense. I'd been fighting that bug for 2 hours and he fixed it in 30 seconds with zero condescension. Anyone else had a random stranger nail your problem way better than any tutorial?
