Heard a guy at the library say 'just copy code until it makes sense' and now I'm stuck debating it
I was at the Austin public library last Tuesday and overheard a guy tell his friend that beginners should just copy code from tutorials until it clicks, no need to understand every line. Half of me gets it because when I started Python three months ago, typing out working examples kept me from quitting. But the other half remembers spending a whole weekend copying a to-do app and then having zero clue how to add a single button on my own. So which is it, copy first and figure it out later, or slow down and learn the basics before touching anyone else's code? Curious what worked for you when you were just starting out.
