Unpopular opinion: that $200 coding bootcamp intro course taught me less than free YouTube
I dropped $200 on a beginner coding course from one of those big online schools back in March, and it was mostly videos of a guy reading slides for 12 hours. The free stuff on YouTube had me writing my first working Python script in 3 days, and the paid course never once made me actually type code along with it. I'm out 200 bucks and about 15 hours I'll never get back, and honestly it stung more because I'm not exactly rolling in spare cash. If you're just starting out, do the free beginner playlists first and see if you even like it. Has anyone else paid for a course like this and felt kinda scammed after?
