Idk, my app's light blue on dark blue might not be accessible
I'm tweaking the colors for my new app's interface. I chose light blue text on a dark blue background, but maybe it's just me, it seems a bit hard to read in some light. How do you check if color combos like this have enough contrast?

Eh, is color contrast really that critical for a simple app? Light blue on dark blue usually has enough difference if you picked decent shades. Just tweak it until it looks clear to you and move on.

Honestly, you're way off on this one. Color contrast is a big deal because not everyone sees colors the same way. I've messed this up before and had users complain they couldn't read text. Tbh, just eyeballing it isn't enough, you need a contrast checker tool. Picking shades that look clear to you might fail for people with vision issues, so it's worth the extra minute to get it right.

Have you ever actually run those shades through a contrast checker? What looks fine on your screen in a bright room can totally disappear for someone else. It's not just about vision issues either, screens and lighting vary a lot. Skipping that check seems like a fast way to make your app unusable for some people.
