My button text vanished on a client's old Android and I felt like a rookie again
Last Thursday I shipped a signup form with light gray text on a white button, and it looked fine on my monitor at home. Then a guy I work with pulled it up on a 6 year old Android phone at the shop and the label was basically invisible in the sunlight. Back in 2016 I used to run everything through one checker and call it done, but now I keep a cheap prepaid phone on my desk just to see how stuff looks on a bad screen. I bumped the text to a darker shade and added a border, and honestly it looks better than the original. What do you all use to test on real low end screens without buying a drawer full of old phones?
