My air fryer just hit 1000 uses and I feel weird about it

Remembered my old car had one of those trip counters. I reset it after an oil change once and forgot about it. A year later I saw it was past 20,000 miles, just from my normal driving to work and the store. It was a weird feeling, like seeing proof of all those boring little trips adding up to something huge. Kinda the same vibe as your air fryer log, just with more gas station stops lol.

My kitchen backsplash project turned into a tile cutting nightmare

Three tiles shattered in a row is brutal.

Question about monitor height after a neck ache

Yeah, the "old truck seat" is a great example. It makes me wonder what other everyday things teach us good posture without us realizing. @patricia385, did you find any other weird tricks like that before you learned the eye level rule?

I used to think my dark blue on gray looked fine until I saw it on my mom's old tablet

Honestly, that seems like a weird extra step. If an online tool says the colors are off, they're off. My eyes get tired just thinking about squinting at a screen from across the room. I'd rather trust the numbers and get back to work.

PSA: I found out from a mill rep that 60% of carpet seam failures are due to improper adhesive spread rate, not the adhesive itself.

Man, that makes so much sense. I've seen seams bubble up and everyone blames the glue. But if the spread is too thin, it just doesn't grab. Or it's too thick and never really dries right, just stays gummy under there. You can have the best adhesive in the world and it won't matter if it's not put down right. That's a huge relief to know it's usually the install, not the product failing.
