A guy on a dev forum in 2016 said pure black backgrounds were lazy design, and he was right
Told me to use #121212 instead of #000000 because pure black makes shadows invisible and causes smearing on OLED screens, and now when my brother showed me his app last Tuesday the harsh black looked like a void with floating text on it.
