Changed my palette from warm tones to cool tones halfway through a branding job for a dentist in Phoenix

The client went from constantly saying the colors felt 'too aggressive' to telling me they felt 'calm and professional' after I swapped yellows and oranges for blues and grays over a three week revision cycle so which side do you think actually works better for a medical office?

Three rounds of revisions for color is brutal but cool tones always win for medical work in my experience.

Well now you've got me thinking. Cool tones in Phoenix make a lot of sense when you consider the heat. Nobody wants to look at warm, aggressive colors when it's 110 degrees outside and they're already stressed about a dental visit. Blues and grays give off that air conditioning feel, like a cold drink on a hot day. Plus for medical offices, calm and professional is the whole goal. People are already anxious about the dentist, so those warm yellows probably felt like they were adding to the pressure instead of easing it.

Heard a friend say the same thing about a clinic in Tucson, totally changed their whole vibe.
