I finally get why people use nature photos for color ideas after a trip to the coast
I was at Cannon Beach in Oregon last weekend and the light on the water at sunset was something else. The colors weren't just blue and orange. There was this soft grey from the fog, a deep slate from the wet rocks, and a kind of dusty pink from the sky reflecting on the sand. I took a picture and pulled the main five colors into a palette tool when I got home. It made a way more interesting and calm set for a website header than my usual bright picks. Has anyone else found a good color set from a place they visited recently?
