I noticed my 3 year old Japanese maple was looking sad last spring with yellowing leaves and stunted growth. After digging around the base I found the root flare was buried 4 inches below the soil line from when the nursery potted it up. Has anyone else had success fixing a tree that was planted too deep or is it usually a lost cause?

Has anyone else had a client use the "I just need to see more options" line to bleed you dry?
