A guy at a flea market in Tulsa asked why my shop sign has three fonts, and I have not stopped thinking about it
Twenty years back every sign painter I knew used one font and made it look good, now we all just grab whatever looks cool off a font site. Anybody else catch themselves mixing scripts and slabs and wonder when we all forgot the basic rule of pick one and stick with it?

Learned in '98: pick one font per sign, period.
