I was cleaning a house in the historic district last Thursday and the owner asked me to pick a new accent wall color for her office. She had this old, faded green rug she loved, and I was totally stuck.

Pull a color straight from the faded parts of that rug. Go for a muted sage or a soft moss on one wall. It'll make the rug look intentional instead of just old, and the whole room will feel calm and put together.
