I finally fixed a color clash on a client's menu that took me 3 days to spot
The client kept saying the menu felt 'off' but couldn't say why. Turns out, the red they used for the prices was just a few degrees off from the red in their logo, creating a weird vibration. Has anyone else had a client pick a color that's almost, but not quite, right?

Had a client insist on a specific blue for their website header. It was so close to the background color it just looked like a mistake, like a blurry edge. Took forever to get them to see it needed more contrast to actually read. Those almost matches are the worst.

Ugh, that's the worst kind of stubborn. Reminds me of a friend who painted her living room this super light gray, then got the exact same gray for her couch. It just looked like a weird, shapeless blob in the middle of the room. She was so proud of "matching" until we all pointed out you couldn't even see where the couch ended and the wall began.
