Rant: A client told me my color palette was 'too safe' and boring
They specifically said my website draft looked like a 'hospital waiting room' because I stuck to blues and grays. I swapped the main accent for a bold coral and it completely changed the feel of the page. Has anyone else had a client push them out of their comfort zone with color?
Used to think clients were just being picky about colors until one insisted I swap my usual navy for a bright mustard yellow. Honestly fought it at first, thought it would look awful. But seeing it live on the site proved me totally wrong, it gave the whole brand an energy my safe choice never had. Now I see those pushes as a good thing, even if my first reaction is to cringe.
