A random guy at the coffee shop in Denver asked me about my notebook system

What did your bullet journal look like that made him say that? Mine is just grids and lists, nothing wild. I'm trying to picture what comes off as serial killer vibes to a stranger in a cafe. Was it the handwriting or like, how you laid it all out? That comment would have stuck with me too.

Shoutout to the crew that finally showed me the right way to check a governor rope tension

Oh man, that's a solid rule. It reminds me of when my uncle tried to "calibrate" his boat trailer brakes by feel, @victor636. He swore it was fine until the whole rig gently rolled through a stop sign and into a ditch. No real damage, but his face was red for a week. Your point about getting rid of the guesswork is so true, because everyone's idea of a firm pull is totally different. That kind of exact number just stops the arguing before it even starts.

My compost pile finally got hot after I added a bunch of coffee grounds

Read that coffee grounds can be too fine and actually mat down, blocking air. They work best mixed with something bulkier like straw or shredded paper. Fresh grass clippings are perfect because they're full of nitrogen and have more structure.

Switched from a 16 inch MacBook Pro to a 14 inch model and my back is thanking me

Oh my god, yes. I nearly threw my back out trying to move the stupid thing. Had to get my neighbor to help me lift it onto the dolly. Felt like they filled the box with bricks instead of whatever it was supposed to be. Never ordering from that company again.
