Why does nobody talk about the 'paste over' trick in Figma?
Last Friday, I had to update 50 button states across 12 screens. Manually swapping the fill color on each one would have taken hours. I remembered a forum post about holding 'alt' while pasting to replace the selected object. It worked perfectly and cut the job down to about 15 minutes. The whole week felt smooth after that one simple hack. What other little-known paste shortcuts have you guys found?

Honestly, my brain is already the junk drawer @ericjackson warned about, so one more shortcut can't hurt. That paste over trick is a lifesaver when you need it, even if it's just once a month. I'm a big fan of paste to replace for swapping icons, it feels like a magic trick every time. Miller.susan isn't wrong about niche uses, but finding that one trick for your specific mess feels so good.

That trick is way too niche to be useful for most people. It only saves time in very specific situations that rarely come up. Learning obscure shortcuts just adds more clutter to your brain.
