My color coded route sheets failed on a colorblind mover last week
Last Tuesday I handed out route sheets with red and green stickers for two different job sites, and one of my guys, Dave, mixed them up and sent a truck 40 minutes to the wrong part of town. He pulled me aside and told me he has been colorblind his whole life and never said anything because he did not want to look difficult at work. Back when I started moving 20 years ago we just wrote addresses on a clipboard, and honestly that worked fine for everybody. Now I use big letters (A, B, C) plus the colors on every sheet, and mistakes have dropped to almost nothing. Does anyone know a cheap label maker that lets me pick symbols instead of just colors?
