Lost $180 on a graded comic that came back blue label... oops
Sent a raw Fantastic Four #52 to CGC last March because the corner looked clean and the pages felt right... paid for express grading and everything. Turns out there was a subtle color touch on the cover that I missed under my desk lamp, and it came back as a blue label with 'restored' and the value tanked hard. Anyone else had a book that looked perfect at home but failed the black light test once a pro checked it?
Did the grader tell you what kind of touch it was, like marker or paint? Trying to figure out what to look for with a black light at home before I ship anything else off.
