My issue with silent auctions at cons got way worse in Pittsburgh

Two years ago at Pittsburgh Comic Expo a guy grabbed the wrong bin from a silent auction table and started pulling out sealed variants, deck broke out over who was bidding on what. I now take photos of every lot number and the bid sheet before I walk away, has anyone else had a silent auction mixup ruin a con day for them?
