PSA: my comic shop in Denver has a wall of shame for late pickups
I was at my local shop, Mile High Comics, last Tuesday to grab my pull list and I noticed they added a new section near the register. It's basically a corkboard with polaroids of people who left their pre-orders sitting for over 60 days, and one guy has been up there since March with like 14 unclaimed issues of some Batman variant. I laughed at first, but then I checked the dates on my own box and realized I had three books from two months ago that I forgot to grab during my vacation. The owner, a guy named Pete, saw me staring and said "that board is the only thing keeping me from renting a storage unit for you folks." Now I make it a point to pick up every two weeks, no excuses, because I do not want my face up there next to a random Aquaman annual. Has anyone else's shop done something this petty to motivate customers, or am I just lucky?
