I finally gave in on surface supplied air after watching a crew in Morgan City work a shallow job
I've been a scuba guy for years on shallow work, mostly because it's cheap and I know it. Last month I was down in Morgan City watching a small crew run a dock job in about 18 feet of muddy water with a hookah setup, and they never had to stop for tank swaps. Two guys stayed down almost the whole shift while I would've been up and down four times. I've always said tanks are fine for that depth but I'm starting to think I've just been stubborn about the hose drag. Curious if anyone here runs a hookah on dock work and how you handle the float and keeping the compressor out of the way.
