Switched from a dry suit to a wetsuit for shallow harbor work and my hands stopped going numb
Did about 6 weeks of dock inspections in Baltimore harbor last fall and kept fighting cold hands on the surface intervals even in a dry suit with heavy undergarments. Borrowed a 7mm wetsuit from a guy on the crew and the difference in mobility and how fast I got my dexterity back between dives was honestly night and day. The dry suit was great at 40 feet in January, but for 15 to 20 foot stuff where I'm in and out all day the wetsuit won hands down. Curious if anyone else keeps two suits rigged up depending on the depth and water temp, or do you just stick with one and deal with it?
