DAE think factory prebuilts beat custom builds for office fleets?
I used to build every workstation by hand, but last spring I ordered 22 refurbished Dell OptiPlex 7060s from a surplus place in Columbus for $180 each, and they haven't had a single hardware failure in 11 months. The failing part on my old custom boxes was always the cheap power supplies and mismatched RAM, and the prebuilts just don't have that problem because everything is tested together. The warranty swap is also a lot easier than me driving out to a client site to swap a dead board, even if I do lose some upgrade room. Anyone else stopped building desktops for small business clients?
