Holding onto functional hardware beats chasing efficiency ratings

Many techs push for new gear to save on power bills. Building that new equipment uses tons of energy and resources. I advise clients to repair and use older machines when possible. This cuts down on electronic trash more than you might think.

Yeah, cutting down on electronic trash is so true. It's like how everyone rushes to upgrade phones every year when the old one works fine. We throw out a lot of stuff that just needs a simple fix.

Planned obsolescence is a real thing. They design stuff to break or feel outdated so you have to buy new.
