Showerthought: the week everything set up dry and I actually got home before dark
Five pours in four days last week out by the airport in Reno and not one of them flashed on me, which never happens with that desert wind. My screed guy Marcus called in sick Monday so I ran the straightedge myself and still hit the grade within an eighth on every pad. Even the pump truck guy at Golden Valley was early for once and didn't blow a hose all week. Anybody else get one of those rare stretches where the mix, the weather, and the crew all line up, or is it just me getting lucky every 100 pours?
Golden Valley being on time is the real miracle there, not the flash test. One clean week out of a hundred pours is just the desert letting you get cocky before it eats your finish.
