That time I laughed at a guy for using a bull float with a handle extender

Back in '07 I was working a slab in Phoenix and this older finisher pulls out a 12 foot handle extender for his bull float. I thought it was the dumbest thing ever, like just walk closer to the wet concrete, right? But after watching him lay down 50 yards of flat slab without leaving a single boot print I bought my own the next week. Has anyone else found a tool they swore was unnecessary until they actually tried it on a real job?

You're telling me there's a 12 foot handle extender for a bull float? Bro I've been walking around on wet slabs like an idiot for years leaving my size 10s all over the finish. That's genius actually. No boot prints, no messing up the cream, just smooth sailing from the edge. I bet that old timer was probably laughing right back at you while you were out there doing the concrete shuffle trying not to sink in.

Better grab a pair of knee pads too, you'll thank me later.
