Vent: My uncle swore the moon landing was faked, then pulled out a photo that proved him wrong
Family BBQ in Phoenix last month, my uncle Gary goes off about how the whole Apollo 11 thing was shot in a studio, says the flag waving proves it. He's been pushing this for 10 years at every holiday and nobody argues with him anymore. So I pulled up the NASA photo of the flag and asked why the pole has a horizontal bar at the top holding it out, which he never noticed in all that time. He went quiet and changed the subject to the potato salad, but now my cousin is texting me asking if I have more of those photos. Anyone else deal with a relative who argues conspiracies but never actually read the source material?
