Warning: paid $150 for a 'deep web background check' on myself, got a printout of public records
Figured I'd see what those people could dig up for a laugh. Instead they handed me a folder with my property tax history and an old address from 2011. I could have gotten that at the county clerk for like $2. The whole thing felt like a scam dressed up with a logo. Has anyone else thrown money at one of these info brokers and gotten nothing but junk?
Bruh, I did the same exact thing last year except I paid $200 because I sprung for the "premium" package like a genius. They sent me a PDF that literally just had my name, my old phone number, and a list of addresses I already knew about. My favorite part was the big "RISK ASSESSMENT" section that said I was low risk, wow, thanks for the insight, really got my money's worth there. The only thing deep about these sites is how deep they dig into your wallet. You basically paid $150 to learn that the county clerk's office exists, which is a rough way to find out. Save your cash and hit the courthouse yourself next time, takes twenty minutes and costs less than lunch.
