Hit 42 days with zero lost time incidents on my Fort Worth site
I run a 14 person crew doing steel erection in Fort Worth and safety meetings used to feel like a chore. Last Friday the gate log hit 42 straight days with no recordable incidents, which is the longest stretch I have had in 9 years of running work. The change came from a simple thing, we started doing a 5 minute stretch and tool check right at 6:30am before anyone touches a ladder. The guys groaned at first but now they are the ones calling it out if we skip it. What small routine has helped your crew stay sharp?
