Lost a whole Saturday because I didn't check the moisture meter first.
I was tiling a bathroom floor in Phoenix and after laying half the tile, I found out the subfloor was way too wet from a leak the homeowner forgot about. Ended up ripping it all up and waiting 3 days for it to dry, cost me $400 in wasted material. Anyone else ever trust a customer's word too fast instead of testing things yourself?

Trusting a homeowner is like trusting a used car salesman.

My buddy just sold his place to the first couple who walked in, no inspection, because he was upfront about the creaky floorboards and old wiring lol. Not every homeowner is trying to hide something, plenty of us just want a fair deal.
