Shoutout to that $80 laser level I almost didn't buy

I was framing a basement last month and my old bubble level kept throwing me off by a quarter inch on every corner. Spent $80 on a cheap self-leveling laser from the hardware store and it saved me three days of rework. Anyone else had luck with the budget laser levels or do you stick with the big brand names?

Wait @joseph_west59 are you telling me that $80 laser can be off and not tell me? That's wild, I just assumed if it leveled itself it was good to go.

Self leveling isn't the same as self checking.
