DAE think $45 for a kids haircut is nuts? My client in Austin showed me the receipt
Last month a mom in Austin showed me a receipt from a chain salon, $45 for a basic kids cut, no wash or style. Half of me thinks we should all charge that since folks clearly pay it, the other half thinks parents won't come back once little man screams through the clippers. Where do you all land, do you price kids by the seat or by the patience it takes?
Isn't this just what happens with everything now, where the price stops matching the effort and starts matching what people will put up with? I see it with coffee, car washes, vet visits. Two bucks became six and nobody blinked. So yeah, a chain can charge $45 because the front desk person says it with a straight face and the card just taps. A one chair shop can't really pull that off the same way.
