Pro tip: skip the $40 icon pack, it came with files I couldn't even open
Last month I paid $40 for a big icon pack for a dashboard I'm coding by hand, and half the SVGs had clipped paths and no viewBox. I spent two evenings in Figma fixing them, then found out the license didn't even cover web use. I ended up redrawing the 12 icons I really needed from scratch in about 3 hours with a 24px grid. Now I test any pack with 3 icons before paying for the rest. What's your check before you buy assets you'll end up fixing anyway?
Clipped paths and no viewBox, so basically you paid $40 for a folder of broken promises. The license not covering web use is the cherry on top. Good call on the 3 icon test, that's cheap insurance compared to two nights of Figma chores.
