Rant: a guy in Austin told me my icon set looked like "gravestones with hats" and honestly he was right
I spent a whole weekend on 24 little line icons for a weather app, and I was pretty proud of them until my buddy Ryan looked at the cloud set and said they looked like gravestones with hats. I laughed, then I opened the file at 100% zoom and saw it. Every cloud was a flat bottom rectangle with a dome on top, because I had been drawing them at 400% zoom the whole time. Now I shrink the canvas to actual size every 10 minutes while I draw, and the shapes have gotten way rounder. Does anyone else have a zoom habit that wrecks their shapes?
Zooming out is the move, but flipping the canvas mirror is the real trick, it jolts your brain out of seeing what you meant to draw instead of what's actually there.
