I rebuilt my icon set last month and swapped my Sass mixins for plain CSS custom properties, and wow, it is so much easier. With Sass I had to recompile the whole sheet just to bump a stroke width from 2px to 2.5px, but now I just change one variable in devtools and see it live. My icon sheet went from 400 lines down to about 120. Anyone else ditch their preprocessor for hand coded variables, or am I late to this party?
