Took me 6 hours to center one icon in an SVG viewBox, and I am not sorry I did it by hand
Everyone says just load the whole icon set from a CDN and be done, but I wanted my 14 custom icons to line up on the same 24px grid without extra padding hacks. I nudged the viewBox by 0.5 units at a time in Brackets until the pixel edges snapped, which took 6 hours for one trash can icon, and I would do it again because the whole set feels tight now. How do you all handle grid alignment when half the icons come from a pack and half you draw yourself?

Six hours nudging a viewBox by 0.5 in Brackets until the pixels snapped is real love for your craft, and I get it because mixed sets are a pain. The only thing that works for me is drawing everything on the same grid from scratch, since pack icons never quite match your lines.
