Watched a guy with 15 years on the joystick almost clip a power line in Amarillo last month because he never pulled the load chart for that boom angle, just ran off feel like always. If you can't tell me the capacity at 40 feet on your current setup without looking, you're guessing, and guessing is how guys end up on the news.
15 years on the joystick and he's out there winging it by feel? That is wild. Amarillo has lines running everywhere and one wrong swing at 40 feet will fry you before you even know what happened. Guy got lucky, plain and simple. I pull my chart every single morning even on the same truck I ran all week, takes 30 seconds.
