Showerthought: a pure CSS box shadow can have up to 100 comma-separated layers, and I only found out last week
I was reading the MDN page on box-shadow for a little pixel art piece I was building and saw a note saying there's no hard limit on the number of shadows you can stack in one rule. I tried 40 layers on a single div to make a tiny sunset scene and it rendered fine in Chrome, which surprised me since I figured the browser would choke. What's the most layers you've packed into one CSS rule before it started to lag?
